OMG! He made such great suits, worked with Karl Lagerfeld, and did a shoe collection with Christian Louboutin...so sad! I am going to miss him so much!|||Ofcourse. I think any person with a passion for design and fashion would. He created an iconic movement in fashion. My personal favorite was his mens rive gauche collection.|||he was the last icon in fashion after christian Dior and coco Chanel. He was one of those who were the first when it came to changes in fashion.Chanel gave the women freedom, ysl gave them power. He revolutionized fashion and gave thousands of moments full of fascination and inspiration. But now the big creator is dead, I just love his designs, I hope Valentino wont die that fast.|||Frankly I miss the designer Yves Saint Laurent was rather than the shadow of the man who passed away. During his glory years from the 1960's through the 1970's he was the one to watch as his haute couture and later his ready to wear designs were what women and men wanted in modern design. The eighties were cool as well, but by the time the nineties rolled around his work had begun to become somewhat derivative. Frankly, one of his best collections was his take on Russian costume during the early seventies. It was very boho lux with incredible embroidery and stitching. The style made women look like a million.
